Workwear with history

Provenance

Paris, France

Founded in Paris in 1927 by Edouard Beerens, Vetra was named after its purpose: VETements de TRAvail - clothes for work. From its earliest days, the brand became synonymous with durable, well-cut garments that served the French working class with quiet dignity.

Its iconic hydrone blue jackets, worn by tradesmen and intellectuals alike, became staples across industries - and later, film. Though collaborations with Japanese creatives and design boutiques have modernised the brand, Vetra remains true to its function-first philosophy.

Proudly, still made in France, still bearing its red-and-gold emblem, Vetra designs workwear that speaks fluently across decades.
